Great points! Unfortunately, some new leaders become trapped in ego and feel they need to assert their position or authority, which loses all trust and respect, especially from any experienced individuals who now report to them.
This challenge is very real and this is a good framework to address them. It is also a situation that provides and opportunity to build a collaborative relationship by using questions that recognize previous experience while guiding discussions to address current challenges and opportunities.
